Story

Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in «Skeleton Crew» and other stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s younger siblings is the same one the Chewbacca family watches in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).

Since I know a lot of hate will be directed at this series due to the ups and downs of the recent Star Wars series, I’m happy to say that it’s an up. So far… The first 2 episodes aren’t new, nor are they very original, but that’s okay because they deliver on all counts.

It’s giving me strong Treasure Planet vibes

The cast and acting are excellent, the costumes and set design are probably the best we’ve seen since Andor, the writing, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, was good. Again, nothing new, but it’s intriguing nonetheless, and I can’t wait to keep watching. As someone who hasn’t enjoyed the recent Star Wars myself, I was surprised by Skeleton Crew.

Don’t let the «for kids» talk put you off
