I get it – Angelina is beautiful, but where was the spark?

For us, the plot is thin, focused on the latter part of her life, leaving large parts of the story revolving around how the events connected. We went from one scene to the next with no clear connection between the sequences. The focus seemed to be on Jolie’s poses, which were quite far from the charm of the real Maria.

Nice costume design but that’s it for me

I never felt that I couldn’t connect with the characters and come into the film. There was something hollow about this version of Maria Callas. At the end of the film, as the credits begin to roll, there are scenes with the real Maria Callas – full of personality and charisma – that were unfortunately not represented in Jolie’s portrayal.
