Story

Unravels the mystery of a town in the middle of the United States that imprisons anyone who enters. As the residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. Beaver Bank Villa has a long history and many years ago contained housing units, a community hall, a fire station, a school, a church, a convenience store, etc. (all demolished in 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that operated in the 1950s and 1960s.

While “Lost” was also a fantastic show in terms of acting, directing, etc

However I am starting to worry that this is all going very much towards the “Lost” vibe. Ultimately, what bothered me was how much of the mystery was just there to be mysterious. Watching season 2, I kept getting a little annoyed every time another weird mystery was introduced, be it a symbol, an object, a thing. event… mostly because I can’t help but think “Is this going to be relevant in any way in the long run?” It’s just one of those there-is-a-mysterious-creature-in-the-mist-or-light-hatch etc.

Anyway, I’ll keep watching, but if one day this has an ending on the level of «it was all in his head»!

This is never mentioned or explained in any way again, ever, because that kind of mysterious writing just ends up annoying me, since the writer can reach into their behind and pull out absolutely anything and never go back."Okay, next time. there’s a llama with a red hat who whispers the words «paleontological»; and "spatula"!" and that’s it, forgotten a season later, no explanation, it was just there to be weird. and there’s not even any attempt to connect any thematic logic to any of this, then consider this review at least 2-3 points lower…
