Story

Nate Busco spent 12 of his 17 years running from his past

Frustrated by being bounced from foster home to foster home, he now lives in a car, eats corn husks, and uses gym class as a shower.

Stan Dean, a popular high school drama teacher, shows up and deals with his problems

She sees Nate’s hidden talent and need for nurturing and guidance where no other teacher does, and decides to help him.

But in a surprising turn of events, Nate is arrested in the middle of school and taken away in handcuffs

Stan follows Nate to the police station and not only negotiates bail, but also agrees to take Nate to his house, despite the raised eyebrows he receives from his fellow teachers.

Stan is willing to do whatever it takes to help his struggling student
