Story
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neel’s young siblings is the same as Chewbacca’s family clock in the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978).

I approach this review with caution and acknowledge that ‘Skeleton Crew’ seems to be aimed at a younger audience. While kids may enjoy it, I found the first four episodes to be quite depressing.
The war setting feels superficial, and the action sequences lack the impact they should have
The story lacks depth, feeling more like a children’s movie that jumps from place to place without much consequence. The acting, while not terrible, could be stronger, especially considering the caliber of some of the actors.
Even Jude Law seems to be playing it safe at times
The production design is impressive, but it can’t save a story that feels slow and ultimately quite forgettable. Maybe the series will improve later, but based on my first viewing, I’m not convinced.
